BovAP
BovAP
Ancestry, inbreeding, and functional variants in cattle
Discover the features
BovAP is the first product in the GenomAP family, developed to facilitate the acquisition of phenotype-independent genomic information in cattle. BovAP integrates four different analyses:
Ancestry
Mapping of DNA segments of European and African taurine (Bos taurus) and zebu (Bos indicus) origin.
Inbreeding
Mapping of homozygous chromosomal segments.
Genomic relationship
Mapping of identical chromosomal segments between pairs of animals.
Functional variants
Extraction of genotypes at known functional sites in the genome.

All modules include
Personal dashboard
A personalized, password-protected visual dashboard that allows the client to explore their animals' genomic profiles in a simple and interactive way.
Reports
All analysis results can be exported as a printed report (in PDF format), which can be generated for each individual animal or as a general summary.
Support for data generation
We support our clients in selecting the service-providing laboratory, shipping samples, choosing the genomic platform, and receiving genotyping results.
Quality Control
We conduct a careful assessment of data suitability, quality, and integrity—whether the data was newly generated through outsourced services or derived from the client's previous genotyping.
Compatibility
Our modules are compatible with most SNP chips derived from the Illumina BovineHD panel; therefore, we accept prior genotyping data provided by the client.
Confidentiality
All generated data is unique and exclusive to the client, and is not shared or used by any other party. Your information belongs solely to you.
